Hi, and thnx alot for the simulation environment. I m trying to change the tribots initial pose by code. I know this is more of a MRDS type question but I m sure that you can answer this on the fly!!

So one way is to send a get message to the simulation sirvice -> find the entity by name -> change the pose -> and send an updateSimulation entity to the engine.
This ends up in an access violation error!!

P.S. From get message response we can only extract an Entity type object. Im sending the update SimulationEntity by casting the object to visual entity which i don't think that is correct...

Well i found it!!

First of all i found one of your answers that helped to uderstand when to wait for the InsertSimulationEntity msg.

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums ... 1981c42f1/

After the visual entity is cashed it is easy to change position by editing the Physics entity property.

It is just not so clear that the InsertSimulationEntity is send when a service subscribes to the simulated entity no matter when the entity was actually inserted...

Thnx anyway
